Worship

Professional quality music is provided that is designed to emotionally energize and spiritually nourish the congregation. Small ensembles, soloists, choir, and instrumental ensembles provide a wide variety of musical styles including traditional, contemporary, pop, jazz, and gospel. We believe that music plays an important part of our private and corporate worship. Join us this Saturday or Sunday as we celebrate the living Lord Jesus Christ.

Current Opportunities

If you have been thinking about getting involved in the Worship Ministry at Immanuel Baptist Church, now is a great time to get started.

There are several groups to choose from, each one filled with wonderful people eager to welcome you.

Worship Choir

The rehearsal time is Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00. The choir presents special programs for Easter and Christmas as well as anthems for the 9:30 worship service.

Senior Adult Choir

For adults 55 years and older. This choir sings at the 8:00 service as well as other events in the community. Rehearsal is Monday evenings from 5:30 to 6:15.

Children’s Choirs

For children in 1st through 5th grade. This choir meets each Wednesday evening from 6 – 7 in the Children’s Music room and presents 2 musicals during the year.

Saturday Night Praise Team

This group consists of singers and instrumentalists. They rehearse at 4:30 on Saturday afternoon and then play for the Saturday night worship. Must audition to become a member.

Sunday Morning Praise Team

This team also has singers and instrumentalists. Rehearsal is Sunday morning from 8:00 to 9:00 and they play at the Sunday, 9;30 service. Membership is by audition.

Accompanists

We are always looking for qualified accompanists for our various groups and worship services.

Sound, Video Techs and Ushers

This is another area of ministry that we are always looking for people who are willing to be trained and then able to be put on a rotation system for our various services.

Drama

Christian drama is a visual means to teach and illustrate God's truth. Drama opportunities include, annual Easter and Christmas productions, Jr and Senior High School Summer production, and short drama sketches that are presented once a month during the Sunday services. Acting, writing, directing, lighting, staging, costumes, make-up, and prop building are all ways to be involved in the Drama Ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church.
