The primary site of our church is the Immanuel Ministry Center (IMC) located at
1201 N. China Lake Blvd, Ridgecrest, CA. The IMC houses our church offices, Child
Development Center, church meeting rooms, dining hall and chapel. Our Sunday morning
worship services are held in the IMC chapel adjacent to the IMC south entrance.
The Worship Center (used for special events) and Immanuel Christian School are located
at 201 Graaf Ave.

A: You're not here by accident. Jesus loves you, and He wants you to have a
personal relationship with Him. There is just one thing that separates you from
God. That one thing is sin.
People tend to divide themselves into groups - good people and bad people. But God
says that every person that has ever lived is a sinner, and any sin separates
us from God. That includes you and me.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
According to man's rules, people should be punished or rewarded according to
how good they are, and it might be hard for you to understand how Jesus could love
you when other people don't seem to. But I have great news for you! Jesus DOES
love you! More than you can ever imagine! And there's nothing you can do to
make him stop!
Are you thinking that you should make things right in your life before you come
to Jesus? Many people feel that way, but that's not what God says!
"God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners,
Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
For you to come to God you have to get rid of your sin problem. But God says that
you can't make yourself right with God by being a better person. God wants to
save you JUST BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU!
"He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His
mercy." Titus 3:5
It's God's grace that allows you to come to Him - not your efforts to "clean
up your life" or work your way to Heaven. You can't earn it. It's a
free gift.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from
yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9
For you to come to God, your sin must be paid for. God's gift to you is His
son, Jesus, who paid the debt for you.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus
Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
Jesus paid the price for your sin and mine by giving His life on Calvary's cross.
God brought Jesus back from the dead and paved the way for you to have a personal
relationship with Him through Jesus.
All that's left for you to do is to accept the gift that Jesus is holding out
for you right now.
"If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in
your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with
your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you
confess and are saved." Romans 10:9-10
God says that if you believe in His son, Jesus, you can live forever with Him in
glory.
"For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16
Are you ready to accept the gift of eternal life that Jesus is offering you right
now? If it is your sincere desire to ask Jesus to come into your heart as your personal
Lord and Savior, then talk to God from your heart:
Here's a Suggested Prayer:
"Lord
Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I do not deserve eternal life. But, I believe
You died and rose from the grave to purchase a place in Heaven for me. Jesus, come
into my life, take control of my life, forgive my sins and save me. I am now placing
my trust in You alone for my salvation and I accept your free gift of eternal life."

1. The Word of God
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in
the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and
that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
2. The Trinity
We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons,
that these are equal in every divine perfection, and that they execute distinct
but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption.
3. God the Father
We believe in God, the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness,
wisdom, power and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs
of each person, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and
death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
4. Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit.
We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. We believe
in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven,
perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to earth.
5. The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict
the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and
empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells
every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher and guide.
6. Regeneration
We believe that all people are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore,
under condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in
Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
7. The Church
We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the
head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting
of a family members joined to each other and Jesus Christ by faith, through the
public declaration of their faith in baptism, and assembled for worship, fellowship,
growth, ministry, and proclamation of the Good News of God’s salvation.
8. Christian Conduct
We believe that Christians should live for the glory of God and the well-being of
others; that their conduct should model Christ’s character; that they should be
faithful stewards of their possessions; and that they should seek to realize for
themselves and others the full stature of maturity in Christ.
9. The Ordinances
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local
church: baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe that Christian baptism is
the immersion of a believer in water into the name of the triune God. We believe
that the Lord's Supper was instituted by Christ for commemoration of His death.
We believe that these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the
return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
10. Religious Liberty
We believe that every human being has direct relations with God, and is responsible
to God alone in all matters of faith; that each church is independent and must be
free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority; that therefore
Church and State must be kept separate as having different functions, each fulfilling
its duties free from dictation or patronage of the other.
Membership onto the rolls of Immanuel Baptist Church serves several purposes and
says many things:
It indicates your desire to become a member of the church family with all the implications
that come with being a family member:

In large part you are in support of the beliefs and practices of the Church.

You share in the goals and the aspirations of the church and have a willingness
to share in the opportunities and blessings of these plans.

As in any family you may not agree with all decisions or activities but you also
have an understanding of the importance of body unity and support as a means to
further God's purposes through the church.

You enjoy the worship, fellowship, and ministry opportunities that are presented
as a member of the Immanuel family.

You have a desire to mature spiritually and realize that this is best accomplished
through participation in the ministry programs offered by the church and as you
relate with fellow Christians.
Becoming a member of Immanuel has practical purposes as well:

You are included in the Immanuel Church directory. This gives contact information
to all members of the congregation.

You are able to participate in Church business meetings and are able to vote on
all issues affecting the Church.

Many church leadership and teaching positions are only open to Church members.
How do I become a member of IBC ?
Attend the Membership 101 class.
These classes are offered frequently. Check the
church bulletin for the next class offering.
Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water. …It is an act of obedience
symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the
believer's death to sin, the burial of the life, and the resurrection to walk
in newness of life in Christ Jesus.
This ceremony is typically performed during a Sunday worship service before the
congregation and is a significant milestone for new believers.
